Reiki dates back to the teachings of Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 1920’s.

The word “Reiki” comes from the Japanese words “ Rei” (universal) and “Ki” (life energy).


Reiki is an energy healing treatment that works holistically, on the whole body, mind and spirit. It is simply a relaxing treatment where natural vibrations are transmitted through the hands of the practitioner ( acting as a conduit) to the clothed body of the recipient.

Reiki can aid relaxation, assist in the body’s natural healing process and develop emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.
